MANAGING DIRECTOR

A design-led manufacturer, with a blue chip client base, our client has been supporting a wide range of industries including defence, ultilities and medical for more than 30 years.  A programme of continuing new product development and strategic acquisition has ensured steady growth and the success of the latest launch has laid the foundations for a quantum leap over the next few years. 

Reporting to the Executive Chairman, and supported by the Operations Board, you will play a prominent role in leading the company through a period of transition, as it faces the challenge of delivering against ambitious growth plans.  In conjunction with the board you will set the strategy, draw up the business plan and develop appropriate policies to ensure the company meets its objectives.  Externally, you will represent the company in key negotiations and internally ensure that lean manufacturing delivers profitability, whilst growing and motivating a well trained team of skilled people.

A natural leader, you will have gained substantial experience in a fast moving manufacturer offering a quality, bespoke service.  You should be able to demonstrate that your commercial sense and manufacturing ‘know how’ has had a direct impact on the successful delivery of profitable growth.  To this should be added team management and influencing skills.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Our client is a leader in its specialist field of technical solutions and consultancy to the defence industry.  With a wealth of experience gained from working on major projects for the MOD and their supply partners, the company has experienced sustained growth in every division of its business.  There is now a requirement to appoint a Business Development Manager who can work alongside the executive board to drive through the ambitious five year plan.

Reporting to the Head of Division, you will manage the sales and marketing activity for services and solutions by leading in the area of identifying, bidding and winning new business, as well as maintaining key accounts.  You will also be responsible for formulating business strategy to meet corporate objectives, keeping in touch with future developments and planning marketing campaigns.

PROJECT MANAGER

An ambitious group, which owns three paper mills in Russia producing a wide variety of materials, is investing heavily in new production techniques. This has led to the requirement for a Project Manager for one of their plants.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for the launch of a new production line for testliner and fluting in the paper and carton plant. This will include reviewing and recommending on housing and installation, as well as on the purchasing of equipment. Post launch you ongoing tasks will include trouble shooting and ensuring a smooth running production line.

You will experienced in modern production techniques within the paper industry and used to handling high value projects running into millions of dollars. Preference will be given to managers who can demonstration the installation of equipment in newly-built factories.

Russian is not required and the group is offering a two year + ex pat contract to include an attractive salary, accommodation, car/driver, interpreter and other perks.
